I have a problem with NIS in my Home Theater PC. It’s in the sleep mode except when being used. Sometimes I cannot wake it up using the USB IR remote. However it does wake up with the RF keyboard, and when it does (in this scenario) there is a small NIS message displayed in the lower right of the TV screen stating “Scan Completed, No Threats Found”.
I’m not sure when this scan is actually completed because the PC was just in the sleep mode. After the message automatically disappears the USB remote will then function. IOW it appears NIS is locking out the USB remote until the message goes away.
Is there a single “master” On/Off setting to control scans instead of having to change several On/Off settings? That would make it easy to do a manual scan when I wanted to.
Or is there some way to prevent NIS from temporarily locking out my USB remote?
