I am running Vista Business, and had to reinstall this from scratch recently. Reinstalled NIS from the website. Ran LiveUpdate until there was nothing left to update.
However, when I run Quickscan, or it engages itself, it get up to "Checking for Security.URLRedir" and then starts eating my CPU processors, and stopping anything else from running. Left it to run all night a couple of times, just in case, but it is just stuck on this one thing.
I believe it is something to do with svchost, but that file is only 21K in size - hardly anything at all.
Surely there must be a fix for this by now?
