Hi all,
I recently checked my security history and found that two attempts to access my computer had been blocked.
The messages said Default Block Windows File Sharing and Default Block Microsoft Windows 2000 SMB.
Both messages had my room mate's computer's IP address and said that IP was blocked from accessing my computer.
Traffic Description in both cases says inbound, with a port number.
My room mate says he wasn't trying to access my computer; am wondering how else his computer's IP could have tried accessing my system(could a virus from his system automatically do that?)
Also, my system did not have any public sharing folders, and I just turned my firewall on - so does it mean no matter what, anyone trying to access my computer could not have seen anything since I did not share any files/folders?
Please clarify.
Thanks,
S
