After every windows update, NIS fails to start. I have run Norton repair and install tools with only temporary success. Service will do a clean uninstall and reboot. Afterwards, I reinstall a fresh copy of the latest NIS version, perform live updates and restart and all is fine until the next time there is a windows update or simply after a few days of use.
When I view the service, you can see NIS constantly trying to restart the service but still not working. Only remedy is to uninstall and reinstall to fix whatever is causing NIS service to get corrupted. I have run all sorts of Norton tools looking for malware and/or viruses. I have not installed any new programs. I am running the same configuration I had when Norton was running with no issues.
Is a refund possible or better yet, is there a way to fix the issue with the NIS service failing to start? Any debug tools to help narrow down the root issue??
