When I bootup my computer NIS 2013 takes about 5 minutes to startup. I can tell this from observing the appearence of the yellow icon in the tray, and from checking when it loads into memory with the task manager. In NIS settings I have the "Automatic Resume Delay From Sleep Or Hibernation" set at 1 minute (as low as possible), and "Automatic Tasks Delay" set at 1 minute (as low as possible).
Why does it take so long to load into memory at startup? Is this dangerous as the internet is connected before NIS starts.
