NIS taking high CPU performance since update to 22.5.0.124

Hi,

Since NIS updated itself to 22.5.0.124 (my best guess, since the behavior started a few days ago), it's continuously taking 13% of my CPU time, when it used to be below 1%-2%. I have a rather powerfull PC, with an i7-2600K, SSD for the OS, 16GB of RAM and NIS didn't use to take any significant CPU time. This week I noticed that it's being responsible for 13% of the CPU time, without interruption, not even when I'm using the computer. I have followed this behavior for at least 3 full days now (my PC is on 24/7). I don't see any significant disk activity generated by NIS, so it's probably not a disk scan. Performance tasks have been completed, according to a message showed by NIS and then I turned disk optimization OFF, since I have a SSD and don't want NIS to be defragmenting it (it's just not necessary). No changes on the CPU usage, though.

So, I wonder what NIS is doing and, if this is some kind of initialization of the new version, when should I expect it to end? Anyway, if this was any type of normal behavior, I would expect it to be paused when I'm using the computer, just like the background scans.

Thanks,

Marconi
