I renewed my subscription to NIS on Jan 21 2012 on my old laptop. this subscription is for 2 years, on single activation. the laptop completely stopped functioning last week and now i have a new laptop.
the new laptop already has NIS installed but on trial version. i have tried the instructions on the help page and it still does not accept my activation code.
Please enlighten me.

my old computer cannot be turned on anymore. i am unable to uninstall it from there. how do i proceed?

You don't need to physically uninstall it.
