<< I purchased norton antivirus software and I accepted a trial of norton internet security. >>
How did you proceed? Did you have NAV installed and then used the trial of NIS? Or did you install purchased NAV while trying the NIS?
When you installed NAV did you use the Norton Account to record the details of your NAV installation?
Just questions -- I'm sure there's an easy answer but I'll let someone who's been there done that help you <s>
If you bought NAV, than you should have a license for it as well.
Please uninstall both programs than install NAV again
You certainly are not obligated to purchase the ‘trialware’. The object was to let you see the fully working program in hopes that you might enjoy and purchase NIS. If you are only interested in virus protection than use your control panel and uninstall NIS. You might have to reinstall NAV. You didn’t mention if NAV was 2008 or 2007. There would be a conflict because NIS contain NAV and would be the latest version.
I would use the Norton Removal Tool because the expired N.I.S. may have damaged or prevent Norton AntiVirus from Running.
Once you re-start your computer after using the N.R.T., you get to re-install your Anti-Virus Software; just make sure you save your Product Key!
