NIS using only chinese characters after upgrade to 2012

Greetings,

 

After an uninstall (using the removal tool) of NIS 2011 and reinstall/upgrade to NIS 2012 my interface has been left using the chinese character set / language.  Please can you advise how to change to the settings to use the western character set / English (UK)?

Welcome to the Norton Community!

 

I think you are looking at Japanese. May I suggest that you use the Norton Removal Tool found here.

Please make sure you backup your Identity Safe (if any) and Product Key for the reinstall.

Be sure to fully read the instructions prior to proceeding.

 

Once done, please download the English (US) edition from here. I'm unsure if it it regionalized for the

UK - If this presents a problem please contact us back in this thread and we will address it.

P.S. Is your Product Key from the UK?

I will try what you suggest - although I swear that is what I did in the first place.

 

And yes my product key is from the OK - it was fine before the reinstall was required.

Did seem a bit long winded though just to change the display language - although I am sure its not as simple as that.

Fyi----All English speaking countries will get the US version, so UK, Australia and other English speaking countries will get the US English version.
