NIS V 21 New Engine version

Today, I got a new engine for NIS V 21. Engine updated to V 21.1.0.18.

Hmmm... Interesting.

 

After reading your post I ran Live Update and received a 20.44MB Engine,N360,INSTALLDIR  Update.  :smileysurprised:

Maybe a Full Defintions set as well ? :smileysurprised:

I also got the engine update, and the logs indicate the patching process was successful, but in Support -> About, I still have 21.0.2.1 showing. Rebooting doesn't change it either.

 

Attached is the patch log.

I also received an update by running LiveUpdate "ENGINE,NIS,INSTALLDIR" of 19.43 MB, the size is almost identical to that received from Krusty13.

This update has added a new folder in the directory: C:\Program Files\Norton Internet Security\Engine\21.1.0.18, which has a size of 99.3 MB.

Checking through the GUI, Support -> About, the version has not changed, is shown v.21.0.2.1

 

I can imagine that soon there will be the Announcement of Tony Weiss from where will be highlighted all the changes that this version will bring.

21.1.0.18 update is on a phased release with just English available now.

Nothing is wrong; that's how our updates are distributed for the phased approach. The update comes in 2 parts, and most people will get the engine. Both parts together will get your product updated

Strangely enough, on my laptop, the download was around 22 Mbs, as opposed to 144.55 MBs on my desktop.

 

Oh wait, I know the reason. My desktop has a bigger screen !......:smileylol:
