Got a problem where from time to time some of the NIS functionality on Win 8.1. just drops out and stops working e.g. Quick Scan, Full Scan etc tabs just won't click and open and run.
Only solution seems to be an uninstall and reinstall etc but as this has happened several times now on two different Win 8.1 laptops this is now getting tedious.
Anyone any suggestions on the cause and is there a quicker way to rectify than uninstalling and reinstalling?
I should add it's occurrence appears completely random and nothing else is being installed/uninstalled just before NIS takes the huff etc and no there's no other AV software on them. Acer laptops, 64 bit, brand new, tons of everything on them (RAM etc).
It's happened twice on my mum's in as many months and, just when I thought it was something she was doing (sorry, mum!), it's now happened to me.
