Nis

Hello all, I have been a Norton user since 1997. The last couple of days I've had major, system crippling virus attacks. Optimizer Pro, Jolley wallet, hack99 and Speedial Search among others.

My NIS failed to stop or remove a single one of them. While doing one of several full system scans I was despartly hoping NIS would identify and remove these Virus'. All it did was remove tracking cookies.

I've been paying about 70 bucks a year for NIS and I can DL CCCleaner to remove tracking cookies for free.

I did two Windows full installs and ran out of install for MIS. I had almost a year to go on my subscription and was forced to buy another install for NIS. Now I have 2 NIS's for the same PC and I am pissed to being treated like a criminal by a company I've been doing business with for so long.

So my question is can I get a refund for the needless purchase and most of all why doesn't NIS recognize the above threats??

It also cost me 200 bucks for  a year of tech support form iYogi. 200 bucks for something NIS should have done.

BTW I'm running Win7 64 bit. I have just purchased Win 8.1 because it is supposed to deal with threats more professionally.

Have I mentioned I'm very dissapointed with NIS. I pay for virus protection not a tracking cookie remover.
