NIS09: Unable to launch the program after a recent update

Excuse this post but I developed the Norton Security 2009 will not start problem this evening and came here via a Google search. If I should start a new thread please tell me so but here is my problem. (Forward this please if it should go somewhere else).

 

I downloaded a 10 Mg upgrade this evening after running Live Update and it instaleled. I rebooted the PC and it booted properly but Norton Security 2009 did not start and it will not start. I tried to start it manual from the icon and from the All Programs list and neither worked and I rebooted the machine a second time and it did not start.

 

Additionally my One Button Chat is not working I. I get a window but all it say innumberable times is:

Back to my problem with Internet Security 2009 not starting.

 

Can some one give me some advice on where to start looking for a fix?

 

I run a Dell OptiPlex 755 with 3 Mg of RAM with Windows XP. I do have other security programs installed but until tonight I had no problems with them and running Internet Security 2009. I think the problem is with my upgrade.
