NIS10 Win7 Oddity

I have a NIS10 and noticed something odd in the performance panel.  The Operating System is Windows 7 64 bit.  First of all, the Performance panel of NIS10 on WIndows 7 (above picture) doesn't show the computer off gray area as in NIS10 on WInXPSP3 (bottom picture).  And yes, I DID off the computer.  Furthermore, Norton doesn't catches new programs installed.  Moreover, as long as I know the performance panel use to show Norton install before showing the downloaded program (as in the bottom picture).

Hi Wikipedian,

We're waiting for the moderators to approve your images so that everyone can see them. This might take a little time. In the meantime, can you please tell us which version of NIS 2010 you have got? Please open NIS 2010, go to "Help & Support", and then to "About".

17.1.0.19.  I’ve reinstalled NIS.  Hopes it works…  But I want to know what cause the orginal issue?

Was the version you uninstalled also 17.1.0.19?

It may have been a bug.

Yes...

Sounds like it may have been a bug from updating to the latest version. How is your reinstalled NIS running?

So far so good.....  Another bug, MSIntellitype Pro software shows up in the (N) circle instead of the installed program icon.  That's the only bug so far.  Other than that, the panel now shows the computer being turned off.  Can you see the pic yet?

No, still waiting for the pictures to be approved. Sea_Monster has just opened a thread reporting a bug similar to yours:

The screenshot are now approved :).

Norton never seems to be totally compatible with a 64-bit operating system… Is it that complicated??

Norton Internet security 2010 works perfectly in Windows 7, and here is the screenshot given below, for which you are putting the question.

I can confirm that after a re-install of NIS it is now behaving normally (for now ;-)).
