Hello Community,
How does the anatomy of a Full Page Block w NIS11 differ from NIS10.
As I recall the Anti-Phishing component in NIS 2010 blocked suspected fraudulent or phishing websites with a full page block. NIS10 ~ Full Page Block was limited to Anti-Phishing component.
Am I correct that with NIS11 the Safe Web component will also block suspected malicious sites with a Full Page Block.
Is a Full Page Block a pre-emptive Norton action or a post-emptive Norton action.
The Full Page Block means Norton has blocked me from the site before I reach the site....or,
the Full Page Block means I have reached the site and Norton has blocked me from proceeding at the site.
Trying to decipher the anatomy of a recent Full Page Block. I clic'd a link and ...
12/5/2010 9:15 AM,High,An intrusion attempt by 174.132.254.18 was blocked.,Blocked,No Action Required,HTTPNeosploit Toolkit Activity 1,"174.132.254.18, 80",pbcplifpgdw.com/kav/KAV3.html,"BJM-PC (192.168.2.2, 63790)",174.132.254.18,"TCP, www-http",
There was also a Statistical Submission for this event.
Behind a router my Intrusion Prevention history is usually Info - Detected. So, an Intrusion Prevention history of High - Blocked prompts my curiosity.
Behind a router I am curious why the event was even recorded by Norton. Was it recorded because the event was initiated on my computer.
Thanks
