I have some utility programs that copy and compare files, directories, and drives. NIS scans all the executables and doc files and so on as they are copied or compared, greatly slowing the process. How do I tell NIS to ignore files opened by a specified program?
I know I can tell it NIS ignore specified files, but I want to ignore files files only when opened by a specified program.
