I'm trying to install NIS2009 on someone's computer. They used to have a previous version of NIS and instead of renewing their license, bought the newer version.
I've tried installing both via the CD or a download from Symantec, both fail in the same way.
There's no sign of the previous installation of NIS on the computer. I ran the uninstall program just to be sure.
I followed the instructions on screen for the new installation and leave it to do its thing. When the installer gets to "Installation complete xx seconds remaining", it goes back to "Initialising drivers" and then goes straight through the uninstall process with no option to cancel anywhere. When the uninstallation process completes, I get the option to reboot now or later.
