I bought a HP netbook a few months ago preinstalled with Internet Security Netbook Edition which has now expired.
I tried activating it with the Product Key from NIS 2010 which I bought a couple of months before the Netbook. My NIS2010 has been installed on one computer and the licence is for three computers.
Questions
1) Is there anyway I can activate the preinstalled Netbook Edition with the NIS2010 Product Key
2) If not, will the NIS2010 work on a Netbook ? (If so why is there a Netbook Edition?)
3) If it will work OK do I just download the software from Norton -- the netbook doesn't have a CD drive
4) If I do this will the VERY IRRITATING pop-ups from the deactivated Netbook Edition cease?
Thanks for your assistance.
(I am in UK, bought a Dell desktop machine earlier this year which has NIS2010 installed. I also now have a HP Netbook. Both run Windows 7.
