NIS2010 automatically adds the anti spam component to outlook express!

Hi just making a note that I never have installed the anti spam component in any NIS product.With NIS2010 it has added itself to my outlook express.

What other surprises await!!.....:smileywink:

Do you know if it will clash with any other spam software such as mailwash which my mother uses? I will be installing NIS2010 on her machine as well.As she has one of my licenses.

"Antispam component is set to ON (that's the default state) after NIS install. Only because of that it has added itself to your Outlook Express, whereas with previous versions of NIS, Antispam's default state after Install will be Off "

Hi mo

 

You need not worry. It will not clash with other Spam softwares (including mailwash).

You can very well utilize mailwash's filtering as well as Norton's fitlering

Yes definitely.. Turning of Antispam increases you exposure to receive unsolicited email messages

Just use it for use days with Norton's Antispam turned On : You can very well know the difference and see the effectiveness of it

Turn it off, see how it works for a few days; turn it on, see how you like it, then make a final decision ;-D

I will leave it on and see what it does...... if anything,I was always curious about it when it was off by default in 2009 but I was not prepared to have an extra add on!!

I may block a family member as a test....LOL:smileywink:

No idea :smileywink:,but can I say it came VIA a transaction on eBay so be careful !!

It was a "bonus" as yes it saved a family member from going through the process:smileysurprised:!! (who in their right mind would wish for spam...LOL)
