NIS2010 kills my Internet connection and Support don't help

Hi

I recently got the new edition of NIS and now when I install it I am disconnected from the internet and my wireless adaptor is completely disabled.

I have tried Norton Support, but boy is that a waste of time.  Referred "up" to engineering support who never call back, emailed "norton managers (twice)" who never even gave me the courtesy of a reply.

I have 4 chat sessions with analysts who can't fix it, so each has refereed to engineering support and/or a supervisor and 11 emails back and forwards. Some from support saying that they tried to call me but not all registered on my phone.

The problem is quite simple Norton Internet Security 2010 installs OK but the my Wireless Adaptor is disabled and no driver can be found.  I have downloaded and run Norton Removal Tool 4 times! and installed 4 times each time the same happens.  This never happened with all earlier versions of NIS over the last 10 years of me being a user but this is the worst ever.

I now feel that this forum may help where Norton Support cannot, but I and also going to write a personal letter and copies of all communication to the Norton CTO at head office ( I believe his name is Dr Mark Bergman) later today.

Desperate measures indeed
