NIS2011 and VPN connections

I have NIS2011 ver 8.1.0.37 installed on XP Pro with ShrewSoft VPN Client ver 2.1.5.

 

I am unable to establish a VPN session from the PC to a remote host (NetGear FVS114 Router/VPN termination device). Prior to installing NIS2011, VPN sessions could be established successfully and have been used for over a year now.

 

Can someone please provide some detailed information on how to configure NIS2011 to allow successfull VPN sessions to be established? I have tried to open ports 500 and 4500 (ike and NAT traversal) but with no success.
