NIS2011 Detects "MS ASN1 Integer Overflow TCP" During Ghost Backup

While running manual or scheduled system backups with Norton Ghost (15.0.1.36526), the backup fails when Norton Internet Security 2011 (18.5.0.125) detects and blocks a "MS ASN1 Integer Overflow TCP" attack by the originating computer (X60 laptop).  The block causes a Windows delayed write failure, and Ghost aborts the backup.  This only happens when running backups under Ghost.  The X60 laptop is running WinXP Pro SP3.  The backups are to a [linux] file server sitting on the network.  Disabling the notification doesn't help.  Any suggestions for fixing this are appreciated.
