I have just upgraded from NIS2010 and ran a full scan and was told that there was a file infected with Suspicious.Cloud.2, on checking the file I found it was one i had recently downloaded.
However at the time I ran a scan with both NIS2010 and Spyware Doctor on the files concerned and nothing was found. In both product cases these were set to perform full scans overnight and have not in the 1 week after the downloaded detected anything un toward.
Am not sure if this is a false positive, but this isnt helped by NIS2011 advising the Risk is High and on Symantecs website saying the Risk is low.
NIS2011 reports the infection is cleaned but on looking at Symantec webiste is says to disavle System Restore and scan, again slightly confusing for some who will assume when they get told it has been cleaned.
Is it worth running Norton Power Eraser ?
Anyone with any tohughts or views over this ?
