NMS 3.0 - IOS & Android differences

I have been reading around about NMS 3.0 and after viewing the Norton web site I could see no major differences between IOS and Android.

When I buy the product I now find that there are huge differences and my iPaad doesn't get hardly any of the features that the Androids get.

Is the Norton website just misleading or am I not doing something right with my install?  Sorry to ask such a dumb question.

Cheers, it is very confusing.  I wish this did more for iPads as I feel like I have wasted my money at the moment :(

Maybe a simple comparison table on the website would be better, but then maybe less people would buy a product that doesn't really offer them anything and that might not fit into the Symantec business model :smileysurprised:

Hi BRABUS

I agree a comparison chart or table would be a great idea for the Norton

Mobile Security Website.:smileywink:

This would save confusion with users not being sure of what features they

will have access to with the 2 different operating systems with NMS.

Otherwise i hope the Backup and Restore feature can be of use along with

the Locate web based feature.

One option you do have is Symantec Norton provides a full 60 day money

back policy on all Norton products.

For more info on the 60 day product refund info click on the link below-

Norton Refunds

You can contact Norton Support Live Chat via the web for free by using the

link below -

Norton Support Live Chat

Fill in the required info and select Get Support then click on Live Chat.

Explain what you have posted in the forums and i am sure they will resolve

your issues.

Make sure you have the purchase details handy for NMS as they will probably

need some of that info to assist you.

I hope that info helps. :)

Cheers. :smileywink:

As it happens while you were posting I was on the live chat to Norton.  It turns out that  you can't contact NMS via this means and they have to call you back.  I explained that I didn't want a call back as it was the middle of the night and I didn't want them waking the whole house up.  The agent kept on trying to insist that someone called me.  I said I would wait on line but after 45 minutes I asked how long I would have to wait.  From the answer the agent gave me I got the feeling that they did not have anyone working on NMS support last night :smileysurprised:

As for the idea of getting a refund, I didn't buy it direct from Norton so I guess I am stuck with it.

For the refund, you are still covered. If you go to the link provided above, choose the third line, where I have purchased from a retail store. The instructions guide you through the process.

The only features of NMS iOS version that are the same as the Android version are the

Contacts Backup and Restore and the Location feature via the NMS website Control Panel.

So far this sounds like the free services provided by iCloud. Is there something I am missing?

I don't think you are missing anything.  I just think it is a very poor product for anyone with an IOS device :smileyfrustrated:
