I just installed Norton Mobile Security Lite from the Android Market. It looks to be nicely crafted software, however the first thing I look for in an anti-theft product is uninstall protection and NMS Lite does not have any. Ideally an anti-theft software is hidden from view, but at minimum it should install as a device administrator and have password protection. At the moment if someone steals the phone all they need to do is go to the applications list and uninstall it. This really makes NMS only suitable for locating a lost device and not a stolen one. I would be interested to hear what people think about this. Perhaps password protection is available in the full version?
