NMS Lock Pending

Hi, I have 'lock pending' on the NMS website for around 5weeks now. Even though my phone has been online the entire time. i can locate & lock phone via sms, but not via the web. does anyone have any suggestions? thanks :)

Hi Darkbird.

Welcome to the Norton Community Forums.   :-)

I have not come across this before but would suggest that you try logging on to the mobilesecurity.norton.com website from the offending device and see what happens.  The website should recognise it when it is actually logged on, one would think....

If that does not sort things then, although I have never encountered the "lock pending" I was wondering if it allows you to cancel it from the web site.  If it did then you might try again and see if you got the same or a different result.

Good luck and please keep us informed as this is interesting.   ;-)

Hi Andmike,

Thanks for your suggestion.

Yep i just logged in via my phone & but I still get Lock pending message: "We're trying to reach your device. once we reach it, we'll lock it. etc"

I cant see a cancel button anywhere.

Hi Darkbird

Might be worth starting off fresh again. :)

What i think is worth trying is to login to the Norton Mobile Security website

on your PC with the URL or link below-

https://mobilesecurity.norton.com/

Then remove the device you are having the issues with by clicking on the

option Delete under the device name, then click OK.

Next step would be to uninstall Norton Mobile Security (NMS) from the device

App settings, then go to the Google Play App and download NMS from the

Google Play Store.

And install and swipe thru to the Sign In to again register the device and

activate NMS.

Then you will be able to again login to the NMS website Control Panel on your

PC and test the Lock feature and hopefully it will now be working properly. :)

Let us know how you go if you decide to try the steps above. :smileyhappy:

Cheers. :smileywink:
