I do not know why Split Tunnel is not available in iOS devices.

Sometimes features are not added to an iOS product because they are not really required due to the protections already built into the OS. Such as sandboxing and isolating all running apps from interacting with each other.

I’m still interested to know what protection you are looking for in the VPN?

I am not looking to protect my email (using Wifi on home Virgin Media Broadband network). I am looking to be able to access my email whilst protected by my VPN on my iPad as I can on my laptop (using split tunnelling) with the same product.

Enabling split tunnel access to outlook.com makes no difference. What value is a VPN if it has to be disabled to access mail accounts?
