No active subscription on Macbook air M1 after norton update antivirus Plus

I have an active subscription. Antivirus Plus
i did an update. the installer said had to restart but it shut down and won’t restart.
it now says i have no active subscription on my mac. norton VPN still works though.
i tried to redownload but still get same message and says my subscription is expired even though it is not expired.
i rebooted and still same message. no active subscription
