No activity in History log

Since installing Norton Internet Security for Mac [Ver.4.0.1] over a week ago I’ve found that the firewall log has not recorded any “Connection attempts blocked” or “Vulnerability attacks blocked” - not even one. The same goes for the log in Norton Confidential. This surprises me as when I first had NIS installed on 10.4.11 by a Mac technician a couple of months ago the View History window showed a LOT of activity, even within the first day of use.

I noticed this change after upgrading to leopard (10.5.8) just the other week and reinstalling NIS from a CD I recently bought. The only activity the log does record are the updates such as virus and anti phishing defs.

The only other post I’ve seen where someone had a similar problem was this one (on a Windows machine), although the poster’s problem was not satisfactorily answered.

I’d appreciate any suggestions or ideas as to how I can get the log to list network activity again as it did before upgrading.
