No Antivirus Definition Updates

I have NMS version 3.22.0.3322 on my android phone & Galaxy tablet. I have not received new antivirus definitions since Oct 10, 2017. Even tried uninstalling & reinstalling NMS. What is the newest antivirus definitions & how do I correct this? I have the Premier addition installed.

Server errors can be localized. Norton uses multiple servers around the world to share the load.

Wednesday I was still having same problem. Then I couldn't sign in to the Identity Safe app. Keep having me to try to sign in. (I remember seeing someone else having same problem with Identity Safe.) I couldn't get on internet using either app. Late Wednesday night as I was trying to sign in again, Norton page showed up stating they were having a server error & were working on it. About 2 hours later, both programs were working. Have received updates the last 2 days. I wonder if others were seeing that Live Update was running & just thought the virus definitions were right? Strange that it only affected some of us. Whatever Norton did fixed both of my apps. Thanks to both of you for your suggestions!

I too just checked my NMS activity log and I see entries for LiveUpdate once a day. When you check your activity log, do you see any entries for failed LiveUpdates?

Maybe you are experiencing a localized server issue.

 

Hello granny75.  I too have NMS version 3.22.0.3322 on my Android Galaxy Note4 phone. I just ran live update and everything worked perfectly for me. I also have my install set to run scans weekly vice every day. Before manually running live update the last prior update for me was Oct 21st. Norton services status shows green across the board. https://status.norton.com/

Have you tried removing the install on your phone from your Norton account then power cycling the phone and reactivating the install? Just a thought.

Hi PeterWeb.  Yes, I run Live Update manually even though it runs automatically.  And yes, I have turned both on & off.  This problem didn't start until I installed the latest update. I thought maybe something might have gone wrong with the installation.  I removed the data & cache, then uninstalled the new version before reinstalling it.  That didn't help. The previous versions would update with the definitions being from a day old to maybe at most 3 days old.  Never this long.

Do you use NMS?  Any problems with yours?

Have you tried restarting your devices?

Try going into NMS settings, and scroll to the bottom of the page and manually run a LiveUPdate to see if that will trigger the automatic updates again.
