I am using NIS Ver 22.5.0.124.
Yesterday, I had to restore my computer to a point 2 days prior because of a problem. Everything fine but after the restoral I got the Fix Now alert.
The usual happened - Could not fix. So I went to the Norton web site, clicked on the link "After Restoral" and the link to remove/reinstall NIS. After the download and removal of Norton, it said to restart and follow the instructions to reinstall Norton product. Nothing after the restart. Searched for a way to re-download NIS but all entries in my account were annotated "closed".
My next step was to do a live chat. In that chat, the agent wanted me to do a remote. Reluctantly, I agreed. He was successful in getting NIS back on my computer, ran/installed all updates. When I click on the Norton icon on my task bar, the window that opens is totally different from what it used to be. Really confusing trying to find my vault.
This morning (06/27), when I started my computer, I had to hunt for the link to access/open my vault. Got that done. Now, the problem is that whenever I open a web site, there is no prompt (in the upper right corner) showing the log-in info saved in my vault for that site. In addition, for those sites that had only 1 log-in, the log-in info would automatically load and process. None of that happens now - I have to manually log-in or, open my vault and click on the link for that site.
What happened. Why is the Norton window so much different and why doesn't my vault show the log-in(s) for any web site?
I don't like the new configuration. Thinking of scrapping Norton and going somewhere else.
