No Norton after windows 10 upgrade

Hi, forgive me but I am a novice!

I upgraded my laptop to Windows 10 a few weeks ago and everything was working fine until last week. My laptop would all of a sudden freeze and I had to keep on force shut down my laptop. One day it would be ok next it would not. On Friday I did a factory reset on my laptop and once all was done, I upgraded to windows 10 again. I am trying to get my Norton to work but it says it doesn't support Windows 10. I have tried to download the 'fix tool' suggested by Norton  on the help page but I get an error message with that also. When I right click on Norton on my desktop I have an option to delete but if I go to Un-install Programs Norton is not showing up. I have a current subscription but am unable to download to my desktop as it says there are no more available.

If I go to delete it (from the right click) will this delete it and I will be able to re-install? I don't want to do it and not be able to get anything back.

Can anyone please help? Thank you,
