Seem to have lost these recently. I've been running Firefox (FF) 14.0.1 and NIS 2012, for well over 3-weeks or so, with these "Green Checks" (next to the search results) working. (I think.) What happened?
I did notice that on FF 14, the Norton Tool Bar (2012.7.3.1)is disabled in my Add-on/Extensions. And, a search of FF Add-ons for this shows nothing. In fact, nothing for Norton, period in FF Add-ons.
Tried going back to FF 13.0 -- same results.
Appreciate any help. [Also posting this message to FF Forums.]
Prior to my post, I did a search of the Forum but found nothing on this. Must of just missed it. Sorry (so many possible word combos).
Seems that some respondents on this (including you) have had theirs come back. Mine hasn't (yet). May have to do with no "Norton Toolbar" in FF (still)? Dunno. All my NIS settings on Safe Web are ON, etc.
And yes, I've had this problem several times over the years, with various versions of NIS and FF. You're right. Seems to "fix itself" somehow -- most of the time. Live Updates, etc, on NIS end? Not sure how FF would do that ("LU") though.
In the meantime, I've switched over to Norton Safe Search, instead of Google (using the drop-down menu from my FF Search Box). Not sure that gives me all the good Google search tools though (like date/time limits, etc). But.. "Any port in a storm"?
Same here Safe Web is gone from Norton's Toolbar. That's why the emblem is gone next to each search result. Thus the toolbar is basically just another search bar now.

Well at least you have the Toolbar? I don't even have that. FF 14, etc, has disabled Norton Toolbar 2012.7.3.1. Says it's "imcompatible," etc.
I posted this same topic on the FF Forum and they responded (in a nice way) by saying the Toolbar was *not* a FF Add-on, but was the responsibility of Norton. Guess Norton just can't keep up with all these mods/new release versions of Browsers (like FF)?
I've already been "hit' today with one bad web-site from a Google search, b/c of no Green Checks. Sure wish we had it back. Norton/Symantec -- ball is in your court?
Actually Symantec released a patch for Firefox 14 almost as soon as 14.01 was released. Please see this post by Tony Weiss for details.
The problem arises when people update Firefox before updating their Norton product. If you need help getting the toolbar, please post in the Norton Toolbar / Norton Identity Safe board.
Not so for me. I'm running the latest NiS 2012 -- 19.7.1.5 -- and been doing LU's all day long. No "new" Norton Toolbar (2012.7.4.1). All I have is still 2012.7.3.1 And, can't "enable" it b/c FF says it's "incompatible."
No, you are not being stupid; seems like it for some reason doesn't update for you. Your 2012.7.3.1 version isn't compatible, and LiveUpdate should pick up the new update and install it automatically. Of course, you have to reboot to make it work.

Hi brkkab123,
Please go to Settings > Web > Identity Safe and ensure Identity Safe is Turned on.
Did you install the FireFox update prior to receiving the Norton Toolbar compatability update as Krusty13 stated that could be the casue of the problem?:

BTW - I also removed the "Solution" marking as that post did not "solve" the problem and would be misleading to others in search of a solution for no green checks in Google Search.
If you are still experiencing the problem - post in the Norton Toolbar / Norton Identity Safe board please and we'll go from there.
But... I had already done all that -- uninsatlled/reinstalled FF several times, bunch of manual LU's (as well as continual Automatic LU/Pulse Updates). All Safe Web/Idenity Safe options in NIS have always been ON (it's the default, AFAIK)..Still No Green Checks.
When I find time I'll post to that specific Forum suggested by Dave and yank -- Norton Toolbar / Norton Identity Safe board.
