For many years I have a Norton 360 subscription.
Not long ago Norton VPN was added as part of the subscription.
Recently I wanted to start using the Norton VPN.
At this point there is no way I can get the VPN to start.
THEN… trying to ask Norton Lifelock for advise: I AM BEING FORCED TO GET ANOTHER PAYED SUBSCRIPTION FOR REQUIRED SUPPORT.
I have never seen such anti-client support before.
Certainly not from Norton, Symantec or Norton Lifelock.
And I am a Norton user for decades, always with payed subscriptions. And now this?
Or is it just an error?
Weird: I see no VPN LABEL below. Why?
Where they trying to sell you Norton Ultimate Help Desk? This is payed support, regular support is free.
You don't need Norton Ultimate Help Desk to fix your Norton VPN.
Do you have any error messages when trying to turn on your VPN?
as the vpn should be with the 360 not sure why you are having trouble, in classic mode mits the far right more option think it says at bottom not sure where in other mode ( says my norton)
anyway in that more option mode should see in about the middle vpn let me check mine here
above cloud back up and below dark web monitoring
could run fist the auto fix
if that is missing than i would try a reinstall , use the rnr tool to remove ( first download the installer from norton.com account ( your devices think its called)
let that run and restart after you get the updates/patches ( few restarts) i would run the auto fix tool, top right in classic mide, on left side click get support , let that run usually finds a installation error perhaps something else, restart and should be good
There is no charge for genuine Norton support. How were you contacting Support? If from an internet search, the first results are never genuine Norton, but companies that offer fee based support for multiple products, including Norton.
As to your VPN issue. Are you seeing any error messages when you try to start the VPN?
