I am doing a trial on NIS 2K10. Possibly upgrading from NIS2K5.
This appears to be incredibly cumbersome with regard to blocking web sites.
I have an extensive blocked web site list I have maintained for some years now. Many of these are sites that NIS2KX should have blocked but did not. Submitted them years ago. No action taken. That is that.
I have 5 children.
I see how to add a web site to block on this web based parental control deal. It appears that each child receives their own blocked web site list. My list has 143 web sites. Do I need to actually enter **715** web site addresses to make sure all 5 of my children are blocked from my list of 143 web sites? That not at least an option to have a *shared* blocked list between all monitored persons does not seem to show a lot of foresight.
Am I missing something here?
The only reason I have stayed with NIS is due to the parental controls. No other reason. Up until now, they seem to be the best. The locally stored blocked web site list has worked just fine for me...and I do not need remote monitoring, though it might be handy for some.
1.) No option for a locally stored blocked web site list?
2.) Do I need to actually enter **715** web site addresses to make sure all 5 of my children are blocked from my list of 143 web sites?
Thanks.
