NOBU down for maintenance?

I just started a backiup and it doesn't appear to be doing anything.  I tried to login to NOBU to find out what was happening and get a msg that it's down for maintenance.  I can't locate any announcements anywhere that might give me an idea of how long this might be.  Is it normal to do maintenance during prime business hours without any indication of when customers can expect it to come back?

Okay, now I can get in but the backup keeps failing with A2807 and I can't find any description anywhere of this code.  It's mentioned once in a previous forum post but there's no answer there to what it is.  I can't even find a way to get an online chat with somebody who can tell me what it is.  I'm going to go try a re-boot of the laptop in case the maintenance did an upgrade that's now partially installed but not sure what else to try.

 

 

It's currently running (and is further than before) but I'll wait for it to finish before declaring this problem gone.  I'd still like to see "down for maintenance" msgs give some indication of how long though as well as some way of finding out what an error code means without having to phone an 800 support number (which I couldn't even locate easily) and spend time on hold.

I look forward to see a huge improvement on NOBU. Hopefully, features like the one in Windows Live Skydrive can be implemented in NOBU too. :smileyhappy:

I am getting the same messages, or, both my laptops are shown as "computer not online" even though they both are.  Tried to add a 3rd computer but it wasn't accepted...

 

This sort of defeats the entire idea behind ONLINE backup doesnt it??:smileyvery-happy:

 

Hopefully this will all get sorted out quickly.  Perhaps the Thanksgiving holiday has had some impact on the disappearance of any clue of assistance here.

Not only can't log in since last night but I keep getting a message "invalid SSL certificate" and then I can't even sign in on the website with my user name and password.

Just chatted online with support and yes they are having online backup issues.

I am hoping they get it fixed. I have had it for almost a year - and now it tells me that all my attempts to restore files have failed. Most importantly, it says I have not backed up any files on my second computer. That computer has crashed, but at least I had those files saved on Norton - UNTIL NOW. It shows a count of all the files. But when I click on it - it says no files have been backed up on that computer. I know they were because I have accessed them before.

Just tried it.  Still not working for me.  Down since yesterday.  I'm hoping I don't need it any time soon!!!

Has anyone gotten this to work yet?  Sunday and it's still down for me.  Says "cannot connect to server.  Try again later." 

No, it still doesn't work for me either...still getting the "something went wrong" error page, etc.  Symantec has been around a long time; this is shameful.  You would think that someone would be responding immediately to this issue.

Glad I looked here. Just purchased the product and am unable to log into back-up. Furthermore  my account states that internet security has not been activated and I should download the app. Funny, it is installed and running. So what gives? Tried live chat- does not work. Tried to click on call, but that brings me to the live chat window. Maybe they have a cold (virus)?

Alex, I think all we can do is wait at this point.  Nothing seems to be happening but hopefully something is going on behind the scenes.

Well, I just got a real live phone call at home from the tech support team who advised me the problem is still existing and to try to sign in again in 24 hours.  Was surprised to hear from anyone on a Sunday!  So maybe they are really working on resolving this issue at the moment.  Hope so!

Not working for me and I cannot reach cusotmer support via live chat, email or phone. I fill out all the forms but when I hit continue, nothing happens. Have tried Firefox and Safari to no avail. Backup tells me not enough storage. I have changed the settings to backup <2G of data (probably less). This is very disappointing.
