is there an update to the problem of java 7 not working when online family is installed??

 

Is there somewhere else that we can reort these issues besdies this forum?

When I woke up my pc this morning NOF family advised that it had updated and needed a restart.  Does this mean we can finally update java?

Do you happen to use any online school(ex. k12.org/blackboard) with Java 7 and Safety Minder?

The update 2.3.0.27 for Norton Safety Minder supports Firefox 16.  The team is working on the issue with Java 7.

My daughter's school uses the blackboard model for their website I believe but I don't use it, only visit.

The issue with java is mentioned in many other posts, its not specific to a website, java 7 and safety minder don't work together, from any browser..After much trouble shooting I discovered the incompatibility.  Uninstall safety minder, java 7 works fine, with is installed I had to revert to java 6

Since the summer, my kids and I have spent hours and hours trying to get Java working on their PC's.

 

In September I found this thread, and realized NSM was the problem.

 

I have had to set up a computer without NIS for one of my kids to do computer science homework on, and they are both miffed that they cannot install their latest Minecraft mods.

 

Now it is November.  Can we get an update?

really??  after 2 weeks we can finally connect to the servers and NOF is STILL not working with java 7??  is ther some sort of technical support email we can contact besides this forum???
