NOF Premier Not Logging Watched Youtube Videos

Let me start off by saying I am a Premier Member and I've posted in the past about this issue.  After giving up due to lack of support, response, followup and hope the product would work correctly I am returning for one last effort.  Mostly because my son's computer crashed which required a new HD and OS fresh install.  We upgraded to Windows 7 from Vista and my hope was the NOF product would work correctly or as advertised on a fresh install with Windows 7.

My main issue is the viewed Youtube video activity is not logging or reporting back viewed videos or links.  This is the principle reason why I upgraded and paid the yearly subscription fee.  It worked for a very short time early on but after Norton had its big upgrade to the product (late 2012 is I recall) its been a train wreck ever since.

I just installed the most recent version of NOF on Friday 8/23 (I don't have version number, I am on a different pc) but I imagine it is the most recent version.  My sons uses Google Chrome as his browser.  I know he has viewed many Youtube videos since the Friday install of NOF yet none have logged.  The search tab was not logging either up until today.  As of yesterday 8/25 it would get stuck in loading screen or come back with "Unable to retrieve activities" in red.  Today it started showing search activity for Google & youtube on 8/25 & 8/26.  Not sure what changed but I hope this continues to work consistently as this provides pertinent information.  But the main issue is with with viewed youtube video activity logging.  Is there any way to fix this?

My premier subscription ends in 48 days and there is no way I will renew without this functioning consistently.  I've already changed it not to auto renew as to not get stuck with paying for another year for a product that does not work as advertised.

Thank you,

Max

Hi maxcrowbar,

Please make sure the Norton Family Extension for Norton Family in Google Chrome is enabled.  If not, you probably get alert messages that add-on for the product is disabled on your child's machine.  When you see the message, please check the browser that your child uses to see if the add-on for Norton Family is enabled.  You can find it by clicking Tools -> Extensions -> Norton Family in Chrome.

Can you please log onto the PC as the monitored child and see if you watch youtube videos using Firefox and IE (both add-ons need to be enabled) and the videos get logged.

Thanks,

Katie

Sorry for late response, long work week.  Will try these suggestions this week and report back the results.
