NOF Premier Won't Display SMS Msgs

As a parent I rely on NOF Premier to display the message activity on my child's Android HTC One phone.  Unfortunately, in recent weeks the performance has become sketchier and sketchier.

The time for load of the messages has become painfully slow.  I have popups unblocked, have added *.norton.com as a trusted site, UAC is disabled.  Ping is great for every other site I connect to.

In the case of one particular contact, the NOF window will not open at all when I click on the show messages for SMS.

In some cases the SMS messages fail to load completely (see screen shot).  The displayed screen shot was for a message that had 75 lines of text.  You can see it displayed all of 0 of the 75 lines of text.

Could these things please be resolved?  Thanks.

Hi muyfifi,

Can you please try the following to see if they help.

Option 1:

1.       Log into parent mode

2.       Turn Text supervision OFF then back ON.

Make sure there is enough time in between turning supervision OFF then ON to make sure that the sync was successful.

IF option  1 doesn’t work

1.       Log into parent mode

2.       Unbind the child from the device

3.       Restart the device

4.       Launch NF

5.       Rebind the child to the device

Thanks,

Katie

What do you mean unbind?  Uninstall and reinstall on the device?  Or remove the instance from NOF and then re-add?  If I do that, won't I lose all conversations saved to date?  They appear to be tracked; however I cannot read them.

Hi muyfifi,

Please try the following steps:

1. Log onto your Norton Family account online - parent mode

2. Go to Settings -> Profile

3. Uncheck the child name under the Android device

4. Save it by clicking Save button

5. Restart the Android device

6. Repeat step 1 & 2

7. Check the child name under the Android device

8. Save it by click ing Save button

If you have any questions, please let us know.

Thanks

Katie
