Non working NIS program/Expired account

I have allow my NIS subscription to expire this year.  In years pasted, the program would still operate, but just wouldn't get an live updates which was fine.  I do how ever have a problem with paying Norton's $80ish dollars for a program that stops working when I don't renew my subscription.  I purchased your program and with that purchase I get 1 years worth of virus updates - Nowhere on your product does it state that the program will stop working completely on the subscription expires (Or so I have failed to see).  I fear this may cause me to start looking for another anti-virus program as there are several companies that offer good programs.  I also feel this is an attempt to force people to renew their subscriptions.  With this said, I find that this more a matter of principal to me.

Nowhere does it say an active subscription need for the program to work...Like I said, I understand Live Updates and Upgrades/New Features not working, But NOT the entire program.

Thanks
