I noticed when I hovered over the Norton DNS icon in my system tray it said Status: Not Protected. So I got on a chat with a Norton support person. He told me to disable or delete the Norton DNS since it was no longer worked and had been replaced, and connect to Connect Safe and gave me an address.
Well I followed the instructions and put these two ip addresses in my router: Preferred DNS: 199.85.126.20
- Alternate DNS: 199.85.127.20
- These were the ones on this page: https://connectsafe.norton.com/configureRouter.html
So now there is no Connect Safe and the DNS is disabled. What now.. I finally went to the event log to get that information.
I don't know what's going on but when I went to ipconfig /all I did not see the ip addresses I put into the area I was supposed to on the site (html) above. I have no site protection through a DNS at all now
What now?
