I updated my norton security 2010 to 2011, then I did the express renew, I had one activation left. I put in my product code and clicked continue, all seemed well, came back had sucessfully activated. My account shows activated with proper days remaining and expiration next year. I presumed all is well. I logged off and shut down system, which is windows Vista. When I turned back on for another session in a few days, my system came up then the mouse locked up, had to finally shut power off to get control. When I brought back up came up good , then a message from my norton that I had turned off my virus protection and needed to activate. I clicked on activate and all was well, showed proper amount of days left etc. Had no more problem. To make a long story short every time I shutdown and start again same norton message and I just activate it and go on. On some restarts the norton message will advise all is ok but the smart firewall is off and I need to activate it only. I am at the point that I think I should have bought a new cd of 2011 instead of going through the online renew. Anyone had this problem?
