Today on one my desktop Norton deluxe 360 updated via live update to 22.23.8.4 version. Another desktop no and remained on 22.23.6.5 version. What is happening?
Not had old laptop on for couple of days running Windows 8.1. This morning received auto update of Engine for 22.23.8.4, ran normal LUD, appears had been auto installed with nothing outstanding, restarted, ran manual LUD, patch available, restarted, now shows 22.23.8.4 as fully installed. Couple more LUDs & restarts, no further updates available. Strange, see my post of 12th September.
Ten days and no good news...
A week later, Live Update does not install yet 22.23.8.4 on my desktop running Win7 SP1. I hope rollout will be resumed as soon as possible.
Don't be hasty. Better Norton takes their time to fix and test the issue they found for the Win 7 systems.

Forget last post of 9th. Got MUI files on Windows 8.1 on 9th Sept. Running Live Update does not install 22.23.8.4 so this must have been pulled as well.

Does this also apply to Windows 8.1 ? - not come in yet
New version rollout is halted for Win 7 as we noticed an issue specific to Win 7 OS only. Rollout will be resumed soon.
Three days later, my second desktop is still running 22.23.6.5 version. No new version available via live update, but the other definitions are correctly updated. It is the first time it happens. May be that Desktop is running Win 7 SP1 even if the annoucement says that 22.23.8.4 version is available also for Win 7 SP1? The other one is running Win 11.

There is no release Admin announcement about 22.23.8.4 version till now...
New updates are rolled out in a phased manner. It is luck of the draw as to what time your Norton runs its LiveUpdate. Your one system seems to have run it at a time where the update was active. By the time your second system ran LiveUpdate, it was no longer available until Norton's telemetry decides it is safe to open it up again.
