i just said with 1.0 of norton 360 this error never comes i'm with norton 360 2.0 there a problem with symantec service framework i dont have version 1 only version 2 what to do to to fix the virus scan i cant do the full system scan
You said you did not have the problem with v1 installed.
How did you do the upgrade?
Let's first look for the thing that causes it.
ok n360 1.0 didnt complain when i done virus scan i did upgrade from 1.0 to 2.0 i have copy i brought
n360 2.0 during virus scan complain about process stopped running symantek service framework is faulted files
what you suggest to do?
Stu is asking you did you do a "clean install" by removing version 1 before you started to install version 2, or did you let version 2 uninstall version 1 as part of the installation procedure.
Or were Version 1 and Version 2 on two different computers?
We can't see your setup so please try and feed the information requested through to us.

If you had N360 v1 installed and then began the N360 v2 installation, with v1 being uninstalled by N360 v2, then that is not a clean install.
It's what I, and others, often call an upgrade install.
What this is leading up to is that sometimes that kind of install does not go as well as a real clean install where you remove v1, reboot the PC and then install v2.
For difficult cases, Norton has specials tools for cleaning up after an install that does not remove everything.
I will leave it at that -- watch for specific help from Stu or others on how you should deal with this but please read everything carefully and follow any instructions exactly, asking if they are not clear.
It's also a lot easier for us to read your messages if you use capital letters at the beginning of sentences and add punctuation. Don't try to be too brief -- we don't charge by the workd! <g>
sure and exscuse me if i didnt explain well myself
i dont use norton 360 1.0 anymore i keep it somewhere so i use now norton 360 2.0
