When I try to backup manually to a DVD R disc, I get the following message:
Insert Disk
The disk has failed. Please insert a new blank,
unused CD or DVD into drive E:, the click OK.
I cannot eject the DVD to replace it. If I choose cancel, it cancels the backup, but then I can eject the DVD, and try again. This has happened several times, and each time, the error message comes up. I know the DVDs are not bad because I can use them elsewhere.
I have tried to make sure all programs are closed before running backup since that seemed to be a problem in earlier versions of N360.
Not a direct answer to your problem but in general many people find it quicker and more problem free to backup to a hard drive and then when the backup has been created on the hard drive, to burn that file to DVD or CD.
If you plan to do this and know in advance that the size of the backup will fit on one disk then that's very straightforward but if it's going to be larger then check both your backup software and your burning software for a setting the divides a large file into "chunks" that will fit on the disk you have chosen to use -- is it 4.7GB for a DVD ?
It would be worth your trying anyhow since there might be something in the dialog between the backup software and the actual burning that is going wrong.
Hope that helps either as a workaround or as a better way of achieving the result.
