I just completed downloading Norton 360 onto my notebook. This is the 2nd PC of the three permitted under my wife's subscription which has been active since October 2009. In order to complete the download I had to delete my long-standing subscription service to Norton/Symantec AntiVirus. But now the Norton 360 will not accept my wife's Product Key?? I am thus operating on a 15 day free trial after which I will have to reverse this entire process unless someone can tell me how to complete this exercise?? I also do not understand why the prior version of Norton AntiVirus had to be deleted since Norton 360 includes an updated version of my prior package?

If I understand correctly -- but it would help to know exactly what error message you got when you tried and your wife's KEY was rejected -- all you should have to do is after installing on the new computer is click on RENEW and enter the KEY from your wife's subscription. Is that what you did?
If during installation you were asked to create and log into a MyNortonAccount it is essential that you do that using the same email address and password as your wife did when first installing N360 on her computer (if she was the first to use that subscription). If you did not then you are likely to have received "Already in use" and a refusal.
If tht or anything likie that happened then just get in touch with Norton Customer Support as below. User feedback stresses that OnLine CHAT is the quickest and most painfree ....
To contact customer support Click on this link and work on from there.
You can choose CHAT or Email; email & phone may have a long wait time and feedback from users tells us that CHAT is by far the best at resolving problems.
Note that that link is to the USA/CAN website so if you are located elsewhere I'm sure you will be able to find the equivalent location on your local Symantec website; some pages have a link at the top right where you can select the country you are located in.
Which version of N360 did you install? V4 or V5? If you installed V4 then you are both entitled to upgrade free to V5 for the duration of the V4 subscription but if you want to do this please tell us since it will be essential to clean up with the special Norton Removal Tool for which you need full instructions.
Although Norton 360 uses the AV engine of Norton AntiVirus they are different applications and you just get a better installation if you remove the different version. Despite any similarity a lot else is totally different.
Please let us have some more data since we can't see your computer ....
