I think the Norton 360 tune up may cause serious problems for SSD's by causing windows to attempt a defrag. which of course is a waste of time and shortens the life of the SSD by generating a whole lot of unnecessary read/writes.
My ultrabook only contains SSD hard drives and I followed the instructions in the attached link to successfully stop windows defraging my SSD.
However I recently got a message that the norton tune up had run and discovered that my SSD has been defragged. There is a bug in windows on this (see attached) so if Norton are utilising their routines there could be a problem. Hopefully the Norton routines are clever enough to distinguish HDD and SDD ?
I look forward to Norton's response on this.
I have taken disks out of the tune up so hopefully this will stop my problem, but is anyone else having this problem and not even realising it ??
