Norton 360, Android, Flickering

Issue abstract: app is flickering, jumping up-and-down, after search.

Detailed description: happened after latest update

OS details: Android 15

Norton 360, Smart scan.
Restart has no effect on this error.

My Samsung A15 just got upgraded to Android 15 today, so I now have the same OS version and 360 version as you have. I am not seeing any flickering after a Smart Scan.

Try clearing the app data for your 360 app, and restart the device. You will have to sign into your Norton Account again after the restart. Then test to see if you still get the flickering.

If that does not work, uninstall 360, restart the device, then reinstall and test.

Done all that - no remedy.

What device are you seeing this on?

Has your device been on Android 15 for some time now? Or like mine, did you recently get the update?

Any other apps showing any signs of flickering?

Check to see if you have any battery optimization setting for 360. If so, turn it off and test.

Samsung S22 Ultra, Android 15 and UI 7.0 since early june.

Actually, it started about one or two Norton updates ago.

No other apps showing this behaviour.

Is there any other security app on the device that might be conflicting with Norton?

Samsung devices have had difficulties in the past with Norton apps due to the proprietary changes they make to the Android OS. This may be one of those times. Although my Samsung phone is not doing this.

Sounds like time to contact Norton Support. They can connect to your device to better understand everything that might be running that might be causing this. Contact Norton™Support - Norton Phone Number, and Chat Support . If using the chat feature, when you can enter information, enter Agent please to get connected to a human.

Contacted Norton Support and had a LogMeIn session - No improvement.

Now updated to 5.118.2.250717557 - Deleted Data once again, unistalled, restarted and reinstalled the Norton 360 app. Same issue persists.

Got a supportID, from the chat-session, which I used to send an error report w/ error log via the Norton 360 app.

Maybe some tech-savvy at Norton/Broadcom takes a look (I wish).

I’ll escalate this thread to try to get the attention of the correct team to deal with this.

Help me understand how you sent the logs via the 360 app. I know you have to go to the iOS settings > Apps and turn on debugging under the 360 app. But from there I cannot find how to submit the logs.

Via Norton 360 app > Account > Settings > General > Loging > send error-report with logfiles

I get the same type of flickering (about 20 - 30 flickerings occur) at the last step of running N360 (with lifelock ultimate plus, ver 5.119.0.250730589) Smart Scan on android Galaxy S24 (model SM-S921U1, one UI ver 7.0, andoid ver 15, aug 1 security patch). Has this issue been investigated as to why this is occurring?
