Since an update installed yesterday afternoon, there have been no more Norton popups. This is fixed for me.
Same issue here, this is really annoying.
For now, not closing, but minimizing the window is the only solution that keeps the pop up nuisance away.
I just installed the update and the window is still popping up.
Machine:
Windows 10 64bit
15-7600k @3.8GHZ
32GB RAM
MSI Z270 GAMING M5
I have this too. It is driving me crazy.
Also the "you haven't done a backup recently" pop up. It pops up, you dismiss it and it pops up again 10 seconds later.
Seriously fix this incredibly annoying product.
Havent had norton pop up , last one was around 6 hours ago.
Had 3 computers running all day.
Hopefully fixed thx:)
No GUI Pop-ups here, fingers crossed, it's sorted, ty :)
Just did a manual live update on win7pro pc, downloaded a 195.71 Mb product update and installed. Had to apply a patch manually(or wait till later on it's own). So far so good.
Went to do the win10pro pc, it had already downloaded the update and patch! So far so good
Will see how things go
Update: recent update seems to be working (crossing fingers). Will monitor this for the next day and provide another update.
This started for me this morning (10/27). I rightly assumed it was a new "feature" for Norton to constantly spam users with annoying popups for something that's "ONLY $19.99 per nanosecond!!" and some overworked, underpaid coder got something wrong. Pops up for me every 10 minutes. I shut off every notification I am permitted to by the Gods of Norton and it's still spamming like wild. This product gets worse daily.
Please try now and let us know if you’re still seeing this issue. Thank you.
I have not seen this issue for several hours now so hopefully it is now fixed. If I see it again you can bet I will be back.
Hi,
Thank you for posting about this issue on the Norton Community. We have released a fix. Please let us know if the issue persists. Thank you for your patience.

I know a lot of people are still having the issue since this update. I can say that after I did the update, I turned off my PC and let it sit for a few minutes before turning it back on. Since then (About two hours ago now) I have not had the issue happen again.
I have the same problem, Norton is launching on its own every 10-15 mins. and it started yesterday 10/26 the same as everyone else whose thread I read. I'm running Windows 10, fully updated and I've tried everything short of uninstalling Norton and nothing works. I guess we'll all just have to wait while Norton "takes it under advisement." In the mean time it's just one more thing to be upset with Norton about.
I may be jumping the gun a little but I ran another live update just now about 30 minutes ago. Although it didn’t show any patch completing or restart needed, the window has also not popped up since. Give it a try now.
Edit: Over an hour now and no pop-up. I think they may have resolved it. Keep trying live update if it’s still happening to you.
Having the same issue on a win7pro pc and a win10pro pc.
Happens randomly on the win10pro, the win7pro pc just plays music with musicbee, nothing else opening or closing, but N360 is open.
Called support an hour ago, was told a fix is being worked on, it will take a few more hours.
Going to try keeping "N360 minimized" trick.
Edit: autofix did not work also.
Me too.
It just does it "whenever" for me. I tried the full screen thing above and that didnt work.
The problem remains after I updated Norton to version 2.23.9.9 today. I should also mention that the update required several attempts. It kept failing and requiring reboots after each failed attempt.
Where is this so called fix. I have not seen it as Norton is still popping up. Please stop this madness as we get enough craziness from Microsoft and their updates.
Everything described in the previous entries just started happening to me today, too. Norton 360 opens at random - uncannily while I'm trying to get REAL work accomplished. It is completely updated with fresh reboot but still...ugh!
