Norton 360 Available Installs = None

I have had a Norton 360 account for some time.  I have three computers linked to it.  My main computer required a total reinstall of the OS and software.  I uninstalled Norton 360 prior to starting this task.  That should have cleared one of the three seats allowed.  It did not happen.  Now, I am unable to download Norton 360.  At this time, I am more than a little upset.  There is no way to contact Customer Support for help that I can see and I am left in limbo.  I do not understand why uninstalling the program did not clear the seat.  I need help to get this situation remedied.  Any suggestions before I cancel the account?  Thank you..

You can contact Live chat, explain the situation to them and they should be able to free up an activation.

If you are installing to the same computer, it should not need another activation.

Are you unable to download your 360, or is it the install that is giving you trouble?

You should be able to log into your Norton Account and click the Download button beside your current subscription. If the activation says you have no more installs remaining, Yank's instructions to contact Chat will help.

If you want to free up the installation yourself, you can log into   www.manage.norton.com   and click on the My Account tab. find your cruurent subscription, and you can click on the trash can beside the installation you want to remove to reinstall. That will free up the installation for you.

I am installing on the same computer albeit one that had the OS reinstalled after a format.  As for downloading, there is a download box after the information telling me that there are no licenses left.  If I click on that and download, when I try to use that file, it states there is an error.  I have tried using two separate browsers to download the file several times, all with the same result.

What is the wording of the error? A screenshot would be helpful..

Before downloading again, follow the instructions to free up the installation from my post above using Norton Management.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks everyone.  The issue has been resolved through live chat.  I downloaded the actual file via the location given me and installed it.  An error was reported so the agent then logged onto my machine and downloaded some updates, which failed and then a patch.  He rebooted the machine and ran it again.  After a few seconds, it reported success.  He input my serial number and it did work.

As for the error reported, there was no error code at that time.  It was just an ERROR-UNABLE TO CONTINUE. It made a file for transmission but that failed as well.

I was totally frustrated but now am feeling much better thanks to all of you and Rizaldy [Live Chat agent].

Glad to hear you got things working again.
